My First Grand Vacation!
So, this arrived 2 weeks ago and it really hit me…..I am going to Hawaii! I have earned the Great Getaway trip twice through Stampin’ Up! and had a lovely time visiting Hilton Head, SC and San Diego, CA….but this….this is the big one!
May is the worst time for my Dairy Farmer to leave the farm, but….how often will we go to Hawaii? We decided to extend a few days. We headed out on Mother’s Day at 2:30am and were in Oahu a short 12 hours later. Ugh…that flight!

I will say that Oahu is not at all what we expected. The population is 1 million on the island and 985,000 are in the Honolulu are. What? Yeah….it’s like being in Times Square all the time. I knew it wasn’t our speed when I saw all the shops leading to our hotel: Cartier, Hermes, Gucci, Prada, Chanel etc….so, we just used the hotel to rest our heads. We knew we needed to get outta there the next day, so we rented a car and took off…..
