Stamp Club- August 2015

Seems like this month is just flying by!  Our first session of stamp club ended this month and we’ll begin session 2 in September!

This month we got a little Technique crazy…been awhile since we’ve played with some different techniques so each card had a fun technique!

Here is what we created:  if you are a club member and missed class, I have a to go kit for ya!

This is a set we received for free at Convention.  It’s from the upcoming Holiday Catalog and it’s called Your Presents (you won’t see it listed in supplies, because it’s not available yet!)  I saw this on Mary Fish’s blog and loved how clean and simple it was, I added a pop of Real Red and loved it even more.  I knew it was perfect for stamp club!

The technique on this card is called- Kissing.  Kissing been around awhile….but this set is helping to bring back that technique!  You simple ink up the striped stamp with Real Red and than “kiss” the solid square stamp to the striped stamp allowing the ink to transfer.  Now, your gift package is striped!  To get the plaid pattern, simple turn your square stamp 1/4 turn and “kiss” it to the freshly re-inked striped stamp.  Then stamp on  your paper…voila!  A plaid gift box!  I also used our white accents and colored them with Cherry Cobbler Blendies.  I know we don’t carry them anymore, but I still love them!

This fun card is called a flap top card and I found it on Splitcoast Stampers.  I copied it exactly minus a little scallop punching on the front.  To see my video tutorial, CLICK HERE!

This card was one I received as swap at Convention.  I haven’t done a shadow box card in a long time!  So thanks, Lizzie Verdejo for reminding me how fun they are!
So, I’ve been wanting to make videos, and just was too scared, I guess and didn’t really know how.  But….videos are where it’s at, man!  You all LOVE to learn visually so I need to got out of my box and do some hands on video tutorials for ya!  I got the set up, I got the phone and TA-DA….I have my first video to share with ya!  Be sure to follow my youtube channel so you don’t miss out on any.  My plan is to have Movie Monday and every Monday a vid goes up showing something fun and exciting.  Grab some popcorn, put on your jammies and watch my movie!
