Movie Monday

This card…..swoon….I just fell in love the minute I saw it!

You do know that I list “recipes” for every card I post, right?  If you receive this via email, you’ll NEVER see them!  The files are big and don’t come through.  Know how to see the hole post?  Just click in the title!  You may have been  missing out all this time!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a marvelous Monday!

Just Cards- February

Whoops….totally forgot to blog my just cards class!  We meet the first Tuesday of each month and create 5 simple and quick cards.  Join us next time, won’t ya?

Here is what we made in February:

This was my swap for our quarterly meeting…found it on pinterest

This card came from my upline, Cindy….loved the grunge and the dragonfly together!  Dragonfly is cut out of shimmery white cardstock, so he has a little bit of shimmer

I received this card in a swap, but I’m not sure who created it.  I added the sentiment.

This was a project at my upline, Connie’s January meeting.

This peekaboo panel card came from Dawn Griffith.  It’s very simple, but creates a wow factor.

Real Red cardbase:  5 1/2 x 7 3/4   score at 1 3/4 and 6

Whisper White: 5 1/4 x 1 1/2 (2)

Sending Love designer paper: 5 x 1 1/4 (2)

Thanks so much for visting…and remember, you can find all the supplies to re-create these cards in my online store at  www.jodybrechbill.stampinup.net

WOW Wednesday- January

Well…technically not January, WOW class happened in February and…on Thursday.  Thanks for going with the flow..my vacation and my son’s birthday affected my plans.  Now, lacrosse is starting and it’s affecting my class schedule as well, so WOW in February, will really be in March (you all following?)

We had full classes and lots of fun!  Here is what we created:

This amazing card is called Faux Quilt and was from Dawn Griffith…as soon as I get some more gold foil, I’ll do a video tutorial for ya.  It looks harder than it is.

Found this from Julie Davidson and knew it had to be a wow….LOTS of die cutting but love the end result.  The designer papers are 2 x 2 squares (cut 5) and the white is 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 (cut 5).  The Mint Macaron is 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 and the white mat is 4 3/4 x 4 3/4.  All items are layered on a 8×8 square of Night of Navy.  I purchased the frame at Michaels.  It’s a shadow box frame and came in a 3 pack for 29.99….and of course I used my 40% off coupon!

This idea came from pinterest and I was loving it.  Lots of browns, lots of sponging and I used the watercolor pencils for her hat/dress.  The distressing and sponging gives such a nice vintage feel.

Mini Stamp a Stack- January 2017

Here are the cards we created during mini stamp a stack this month.  All ideas came from pinterest (what would I do without Pinterest?)  Mini stamp a stack is normally held the 3rd Thursday of the month.  We have 3 cards samples and make 2 of each card.  This class even includes envelopes…maybe you’ll join us next time?

The tide is high…..

So, who read that title and Blondie started playing in your head?

Let’s take a little break from valentine’s….and share something else from the Occasions catalog.  I own this set and have yet to break it out and really play.  This card came from my upline, Cindy.

Pretty sure that the dapper twine is really whisper white thick baker’s twine dyed with dapper denim re-inker!

I really love this set….the sentiments are amazing.  I really need to find some “me time” to play with it!
