Free Online Cardmaking Class: Masculine Cards with Timeless Plaid Paper & Layered Thoughts

Plaid isn’t just cozy—it’s timeless. And when it comes to cardmaking, it might just be the secret to creating masculine designs that stand out.

Today, I went live with a free online class featuring the Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper and the Layered Thoughts stamp set. These two pair beautifully to create cards that feel bold, classic, and masculine—without being boring.

Masculine cards can often feel tricky. Too much frill? Nope. Too plain? Not exciting. But plaid brings the perfect mix of texture and timeless style, while layered sentiments make the design pop. Whether you’re making a birthday card, a thank-you, or just a thoughtful note, these projects will give you inspiration you can use again and again.

I used the same layout for all 4 cards and easily swapped out the sentiments and ink colors. Don’t overcomplicate things, sometimes quick and easy is best.
