Hawaii Day 2

Lucky for us, a car rental place was just down the road, we quickly grabbed a car Monday morning and went exploring!  The trickiest part about Hawaii is the 6 hour time difference.  We kept waking up at 2am ready to start our day!

First stop was the Dole Pineapple Plantation…..to ride the Pineapple Express!

Then, we just drove up the coast where we just enjoyed the beautiful coast line.  We had lunch at a shrimp shack and took a farm tour and learned all about bananas!

We grabbed some fresh pineapple (wow…so fresh and juicy, but cost more than pineapples at Aldi!) and apple bananas.  OMG….BEST bananas I’ve ever had!  I miss them so much!

We stopped in at Waimea Falls and did a nature walk…..the flowers are extraordinary and we even met a few friends along the trail!

 

I wonder what we’ll get into on day 3?
