WOW Wednesday…but really Tuesday

WOW class is one of my favorite classes…we step things up a bit and try out some different stuff.

This month, I had to have my class on Tuesday, but we’ll be back to normal in September!

Here is what you missed:

I received this card at convention from Tamara Lobb and loved it

stamp set:  everything Eleanor, chalk talk

cardstock:  basic black, old olive, whisper white

ink:  versamark

accessories:  beautifully baroque embossing folder, black embossing powder, labels framelits, festive paper piercing pack, delicate details lace tape, white taffeta, wide oval punch, pop dots

Using our new thinlits we made a card with an added flap

014

stamp set:  label love

cardstock:  very vanilla, basic black, modern medley designer paper

ink: stazon black

accessories:  circle framelits, circle thinlits, 3 inch circle bigz die, artisan punch

It’s very easy to create the added flap….cut your cardstock “normal” size 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 (and trim 1/16″ off the 5 1/2 ” side….so it just fits the width of the thinlit)

Then place the longer portion OVER the die…instead of under.  The die will from a crease on the cardstock, fold on this line.

I added a 4th card…and I think I will for WOW from now on.  It’s not necessarily complicated, but still a wow.

stamp set:  serene silhouettes, trust god

cardstock:  whisper white, pear pizazz, wisteria wonder

ink:  stazon, pear, wisteria, blushing bride

accessories:  blushing bride grosgrain ribbon, clear block B.

It’s a very easy technique…simply ink the clear block without a stamp and stamp onto your cardstock.

This picture didn’t turn out so hot, but it’s the Sunburst Technique and I found it on Dawn Olchefke’s blog.

stamp set:  lots of thanks

cardstock:  whisper white, crushed curry, coastal cabana, eastern elegance designer paper

ink:  coastal cabana

accessories:  white organza ribbon, paper trimmer
